For those of you who unschool or are unschooled, I think a short history of unschooling would be appreciated, and a good reference for those who are wanting to homeschool or unschool.
Past: the parent would encourage the child to do things that might interest them, but wouldn't enforce anything.
Modern: the parent let's them do whatever, whenever (most of the time)
And just for good measure, I'll add homeschooling Too.
Homeschooling: the parent gives the child work and stuff like that, and tries to keep their child happy and challenged by their work
Note that this is what I understand about these different topics, and my descriptions are not perfect
